Adopt a German Shepherd Dog (medium coat)

~~Hey! My name is Skye and I am your typical female GSD mix puppy. I am thought to be about 15 months old, but my foster mom thinks I might be a little younger. I currently live with my foster parents and a GSD foster brother that I love to play rough with. We get along so well, but I am very bossy and like all the toys at my feet. I am a dominant dog, but not aggressive at all. I will, however, run if someone tries to take my bone! I am not very big, only 45 pounds, but do not let that fool you because I am wide open. I really enjoy chewing on antlers and playing with other dogs. I do get very excited when new people come in the door and tend to jump, but thankfully, since I am so small, I don't hurt anyone or knock them down. My foster parents correct me every single time and have tried everything known to man to stop me, but I just keep on going. I am crate trained and mostly potty trained as long as I am left in a crate.  I have been left in my crate for 8 hours with no accidents when my foster parents are gone. When I've been left out of the crate for that long when they are not home, I have had a couple of accidents. My foster brother uses this cool thing called a potty bell and I am learning to use it as well! I know the sit and down command. We are working with stay, but I cannot hold it very long. Can you blame me?  There are so many important things I want to learn and see, plus I love being with my people and foster brother. I sleep on the bed with my foster parents at night and eat in my crate because if I eat outside of it, I'd rather play. I love going on walks! Before I came to SGSR I was with a family and one of the owners would take me on a five mile walk every day. I would be a great fit for an active family that also has a playmate for me. I am kid friendly but like to chase cats. I have been around many babies and love to lick them. Well that's enough about me!
